Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival Part 2

Crimson Radiance WS

Crimson Radiance

We had a great day at the show and I saw some fabulous quilts so I thought I’d share a few here.

The first is Crimson Radiance by Charlotte McRanie and Shannon Baker. This quilt won a Blue Ribbon for Best Use of Color Traditional.

The paper piecing in it is wonderful and the longarm quilting is over the top!

Plus, the info listed on this quilt states it was made by two gals who live in Black Mountain, NC which is one of my favorite places on earth. I go back to Montreat, NC each year which is located outside of Black Mountain. You would love the town of Black Mountain. It is full of artists and artist shops that are nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in one of the prettiest areas of the county.

Rachel Wetzler won a pink ribbon for this adorable quilt called Rare Birds. I love it!

Can you tell me what pattern this Crimson Radiance is?

    Neline,
My guess is that it is an original design by the maker. It is certainly beautiful, isn’t it?
