Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show Part 4

The Ancients Quilt

Take a look at this quilt by Micki Pugh called “The Ancients”. I’d love to know how she designed this quilt. faces photo

I wonder if she drew it all out on paper and how she planned out which fabrics to use where.

The quilt won a blue ribbon for Best Use of Color. You can certainly see why.

I find the shapes of the colors really interesting.

I’m in love with this next quilt. It is called “Wishful Thinking” and was made by Jennifer McRae.

Wishful Thinking

Don’t you love the motifs in the setting squares of this lone star?

I am especially in love with how she treated the lone star diamonds with a curled ribbon design.

She used inks and embellishments to make the quilting really pop.

Thank you for loving my Wishful Thinking quilt. This was my first time entering a juried show. I am thankful for your posted pics since I could not go to the show.
