We use saved clothing, t-shirts, photographs, hand or machine embroidery, and custom pieced patchwork quilt fabric to create a unique and lasting treasure.
Because of the custom nature of each piece, we do not have a flat pricing structure. Each job is estimated based on materials provided, time, and cost of supplies.
Memory quilts can incorporate many types of saved clothing such as pants, shorts, suits, dresses, blouses, hankies, ties, t-shirts, sweats and even items such as buttons, lace and trims. Premium 100% cotton quilting fabric in a coordinating color scheme completes the quilt.
Your memory lap quilt will be reversible because we choose a print backing fabric to complement the front of the quilt. Creative edge-to-edge quilting on our longarm machine is decorative as well as strong and durable.
Names and dates can be added in a variety of ways, such as hand or machine embroidery, or printed from the computer onto specially treated fabric which is then sewn into the quilt.
Wall hanging-sized quilts usually start at $400.
We make usually make our lap-sized throw quilts oversized for comfort (up to 60" x 80") and each one is custom-designed to suit the clothing supplied. Lap quilts generally start at $500.
