Purses Quilt & More Girly Fun!

Posted on

I’ve got Sarah’s purses quilt loaded and I’ve been looking forward to doing this top since I first saw it. She paper pieced the handbags and will put a button on each purse where the closure would be. My daughter REALLY likes this quilt!

I’ve put a different background filler in each column of purses. The white background gave me a chance to play a little. Next, I’m going to mimic the polka dots in the background and put daisies in the pink border.

Triplet fun: GooseyGirl was home sick due to strep throat. She joined me in my sewing studio to work with her machine. That’s when she said, “Momma, do they have take-your-kids-to-work-day anytime soon?” I looked to my left and right and said, “Honey, I’d like to welcome you to my work, where everyday is take your kids to work day.” She rolled her eyes and sighed like I had given her yet another reason to believe I was beyond help as she said, “MOM!” I think she’s getting ready for those teenage years, eh?

Can’t wait to see what you have planned for this purse quilt – it is alredy cute, but I am sure the quilting will “make the quilt” on this one for sure!
