Twins!  These quilts are exactly alike and were made for two lucky granddaughters by their grandmother, Lorena.

She appliqued all of those lovely butterflies down with a beautiful button hole stitch. She also embroidered their little antennas on each one of the butterflies.

This quilt was so much fun to work on. I used a wandering ribbon meander to give the illusion of butterflies in flight. Each butterfly also got their wings outlined in Superior’s Monopoly thread.

  1. Where can I purchase a pattern for Lorena’s Wandering Butterfly quilt?
    Thank you.

    1. I wish I knew, Julie. I just did the quilting. My customer, Lorena, made the actual top but I don’t have a clue about the pattern. Sorry! Thanks for stopping by!
