I have so much fun quilting with rulers. The designs you can create with a simple ruler can be beautiful, intricate, and inspiring. This year I’m writing a series of articles for Quiltmaker Magazine all about machine quilting with rulers. Each article will focus on a different ruler and include multiple ways to use them with diagrams and even a free downloadable student packet with more designs! My first article is in the May/June issue of Quiltmaker and it’s available now!
And in case you’re wondering, my current favorite ruler is the Garden Lines ruler by Bethanne Nemesh. It’s the ruler I used when I made my sample for the Quiltmaker article. It has a light turquoise color, and that makes it super easy to see the etched lines on a variety of fabric colors!
